Mortals join too: nihilists, the grief-stricken, terminally ill, mystics, Xanaras scholars, and people who believe the world already ended. Cells vary from passive worshippers to groups seeking direct contact with Feeders. The most dangerous actively sabotage defenses because they believe resistance only prolongs suffering.
