For thousands of years, the nations of An'kor were at war. Most of them forgot the reasons why they were fighting and just fought for money, honor and pride or just for fun.

Then one day, 17 years ago, a child of the Demians had a vision of the arrival of Xanaras, the infinite world feeder.

Fearing the end of their world, the Demians sent out messengers to the other nations asking for armistice to prepare for this new threat. Eventually all of them would listen, and began to develop defense strategies. They began building a new nation in the center of the world and called it Corian. The diesel dwarves of the Thundering Heights started digging below Corian. To make space for a new defense mechanism. In a combined effort and the help of the magic of the Aquarians, the technology of the Technobeasts, the aid of mother nature called for by the Demians and scientifically enhanced by the Genevolvers an enormous sphere of pure energy was created, casting a shield around all nations.

They called this sphere the core and placed it far beneath Corian's streets.

Guarded by elite warriors of the Prospericiters the core was their only hope to survive.

Only 2 years after the vision, a giant meteor struck An'kor and with it came Xanaras ready to conquer this world.

Despite the core's power it wouldn't take him very long to decimate two thirds of the population. However, the more land he conquered, the smaller and therefore more condensed and stronger the energy of the shield became until it reached a point, that it was strong enough to repel the onslaught of Xanaras and his minions, the Feeders. Since then this war became a cold war, with the An'korians trying to find Xanaras' weak spot and Xanaras trying to find a way to break the shield.

However, recent rumors say that in the north east, in the realms of the Zompires, a small hole was found, just big enough for some of the Feeders to fit through.
